As far as the mentor weeks go, this is where I disagree. I know that a lot of younger people watch and vote, but I would have had a hard time watching someone like Miley Cyrus mentor David Cook or Brooke White. They have been alive longer than she and I really don't know what someone like her could offer them as far as true mentoring goes. Therefore I think that if they are going to have mentoring, it needs to be someone seasoned who has been in the business longer than a year or two and who has had the advantage of seeing all the aspects of the music business.

I think maybe it would be interesting if they made a spin off of AI for younger kids such as from 13-18 and then focus AI on older singers. It might change the viewers statistics but then again it may not. That way, people such as David Cook who have been working and trying for years on end, are competing against one another and I think it would even out the playing field some.
