Miss Rap Supreme is the answer to last year's The Rapper Show which displayed white people trying to learn to rap. Miss Rap Supreme is a reality television program consisting of 10 females that endure rap competitions in order to avoid elimination each week and eventually become the winner of $100,000.
The challenges consist of making up their own rap within a 30 minute period to only memorize and perform it without mistakes or performing in a group with a rap they created each one remembering their lines as well as connecting with the audience. There are two judges, MC Serch and Yo-Yo who decide who stays and who is eliminated each week.
Miss Rap Supreme was created by ego trip and began airing in April. It is its first season and has the potential to be a successful reality program. It airs on VH1 every Sunday, but of course it is repeated multiple times throughout the week. The amount of publicity the network is doing for this show is incredible, but it will pay off. VH1 does get viewers to watch their crazy new reality television shows. Some of them may be off the wall but the network knows how to create new ideas and they continue to keep them coming. Miss Rap Supreme is just one of the latest reality shows they have started this season.
Various celebrity rappers will make an appearance on the show to help the women rappers try to do better. They give them guidance and tell them what they should improve on. Then the contestants will perform in front of the judges as well as the celebrity. The celebrity will choose who he/she felt did the best and they will win immunity which is when they cannot be eliminated.
These 10 females competing to be the best rapper have to live together in a house. Putting 10 women in a place together is bad enough, never mind women that are competing against each other. Of course there is going to be arguments and “cat” fights every single episode. It can be a bit monotonous though. I would rather the show focus on the competition itself. Miss Rap Supreme could probably be aired in 30 minutes rather than an hour. It would be filled with more competition and less arguing. This would only help the shows possibilities of returning for another season.
