From Football Fields to the Television: Vinnie Jones and Ilhan Mansiz

Ilhan Mansız

Ilhan Mansiz is one legendary football players of Besiktas football team.He played as a striker and became a goal machine in 100. year of Besiktas.He had a great success when Besiktas won the Turkish Super League.However,Besiktas fans were disappointed of being sold to a Japan team Vissel Kobe.He played for Samsunspor,Besiktas,Ankaragucu,Vissel Kobe and Hertha Berlin.He played for Turkish national team in World Cup 2002.His goal in extra times,carried Turkish national team to the semifinals of World Cup.He also made the assist of the fastest goal of World Cup history.He left the football for a while because of his injury in one of the legs.

After his football career,he jumped to TV as Vinnie did.He played in “Girls' Dormitory” and “Doctors” TV series in Turkey.While he was acting in “Doctors” he also participated to an ice-skating contest in TV.This contest was a TV show.In the end,he won the contest and big money price and donated to Turkish Kidney Foundation. He thinks to return football fields again.Bayern Leverkusen,Toronto FC,Columbus Crew,Red Bull New York and Central Coast Mariners teams are interested in capturing Ilhan by short-term contracts.Ilhan Mansiz is still in Besiktas' fan's hearts with Pascal Nouma.
