Why I Watch the Ellen Degeneres Show

1. Wit

   Ellen is someone I would describe as witty. She is intelligent and very quick to rebut with a funny remark or comment. I'm always so amazed at how she is so quick to think of ways to make people laugh.

2. Lively

   In the beginning of her shows, she will get up and dance with her audience. Her jovial and lively character is very infectious. It does not matter whether you can dance or whether you dance funny, she just wants everyone to enjoy themselves and she knows how to enjoy herself too.

3. Up-to-Date

   Ellen keeps up-to-date with the latest news, whether it's political, economic, technology or entertainment. She knows what's hip and cool among her fans and viewers and often invites guests who are "hot" at the moment.

4. Generous

   Ellen is very generous at heart. Her audience in the show often gets a treat with gifts galore. There was once she gave a lunch treat to all the audience who could not get in for her show because they did not have tickets. She treated them all to a nearby restaurant, just outside the studio. She often raise funds for charity through her shows and has been very successful in attracting funds, not only from individuals, but companies as well. And she always have wonderful gifts when her audience play games on her show.

5. Fun

   There are lots of fun and games in her show. She often gets ideas for her games from some ridiculous Japanese game shows, but they are really funny nevertheless.

6. Supports Innovation

   Ellen likes new inventions and encourages kids to innovate too. These kids are often flown in to her show to showcase their great inventions to the audience. It's great to know people who supports innovation in this world of rapidly-changing technology.

7. Supports Talent

   Ellen supports talent in many aspects of the entertainment industry. She invites singers, dancers, performers, actors, actresses and even people who are not famous. Let me elaborate here. If Ellen notices someone with an amazing talent, she will go all out to find that person and bring him on the show. For example, there is a Taco Bell staff who sings for his customers. Ellen brought him in and even hooked him up with an established singer, so that he could jumpstart his singing career.

8. Loves Animals

   Her love for animals often brings many strange and less known creatures into the show. She also showcases kids and show hosts with incredible knowledge about the animal kingdom.

9. Age

   Ellen is already in her fifties but she shows everyone that age is not a concern. She continues to live life to the fullest and embarks on many incredible journeys despite her age.

10. Feats and Challenges

    Ellen often pushes herself to do things she wouldn't normally do. For example, she has eaten fire and cut a lady in half in a magic show. She sometimes jokes about doing something and later on goes on to do it.

Overall, Ellen Degeneres is an inspiring person I would love to meet.
