It's not so much that I'm choosing a side - but I have to say that if you're going to take on Rosie, you should have some expectation of strong returns. Yes - the fight between Rosie and Elizabeth was a little over the top - but if you want to make Rosie look like an attacking pit bull - I would have to say that Elizabeth looked like an aggressive Chihuahua (and many people have almost lost a finger - or an ankle - to a feisty Chihuahua).
Clearly Elizabeth can, and does, hold her own - and is hardly a victim. With that said, there is a lot of good to be found in Rosie (regardless of what The Donald has to say about her entire person being negative - personally, I think Rosie should have given Elizabeth The Donald hand gesture instead of pointing her index finger). Anyway, when you're bickering with someone, most of what you say about them is negative.
Rosie's comedy is very entertaining - and I have been a fan since she was on VH1's Stand-up Spotlight. Rosie's brash, blunt, and rude - and this has worked for her in the area of comedy. She is used to being direct/demanding - she probably had to be when she lost her mother at a young age to breast cancer - it's not easy coming up in the world without your biggest fan/supporter.
Hence, this seems to be why Rosie is intent on doing what she can to help make this world a better/safer place for others, starting with our youth - and what better place to start, considering that they will be the future leaders - and children often teach adults to be better than they are.
Rosie has also assisted the gay community greatly by taking courageous steps to bring attention to the fact that if two people are in love, and wish to make their commitment to each other official via a legal marriage ceremony, then that should be the decision of the two adults, rather than that of the masses.
If someone wants to say that Rosie is completely negative, and has no value - then they should be willing to let someone say that they, too, are negative and have no value - which would be incorrect, and there is much evidence to back up the positive in Rosie O'Donnell.
