Earlier this week I turned into The Tyra Banks show. On this particular episode, she had a man who claimed to be a matchmaker. He had written a book “Why hasn't he called?” Tyra asked him what made him a matchmaker. The guest explained that he had previously been married and had cheated on his wife not just once but several times. Surprisingly, he was now divorced and had lost everything. It seems he felt the problem was that he had married a virgin - or as he put it “big mistake!” After almost two years of marriage, it seems this poor man was forced to find satisfaction elsewhere, several times. Doesn't seem to say much for his teaching abilities does it?
Next Tyra had viewer questions for this “matchmaker”. One young man asked when it would be appropriate to pass wind on a date. I thought it was a joke. Apparently, it wasn't. Mr. Matchmaker tried to explain that men didn't like to think that women did things like go to the washroom let alone pass wind, but that women understood men were basically slobs and simply accepted it when this happened. I wonder if this might have contributed to his divorce. Poor man seems to be under the misconception that his breaking wind is acceptable. Now I must admit I'm seriously outraged! What in God's name makes you think I wouldn't mind smelling your farts just because you think it's the manly thing to do? I don't pass wind around you, at any time, not because I'm afraid I might turn you off, but because it's just plain rude! It's every bit as rude for you to do it as it is for me.
Now I understand that I might not be “cool” but really. I'm hoping that Tyra was using this man to give women a good laugh because his obvious disrespect of women is overwhelming and to have the audacity to call himself a matchmaker is just plain disgusting! Can you imagine what kind of man this guy would try to match you up with? Maybe his book should have been called “Count yourself lucky I never called!”
