Good
EJ's secrets were revealed. I am happy that EJ's secrets are out in the open. Sami overheard John talking to EJ about his lying about the annulment. She was upset. While she was yelling at EJ, his other secret was revealed. EJ told Sami how he bribed the immigration agent so he could stay married to Sami. It's about time that one of the things that EJ did was finally revealed.
Sami is through with EJ for now. I enjoyed watching Sami wash her hands of EJ. I also enjoyed it when she gave him his ring back. I don't understand how she could have developed feelings for him in the first place, but that's an entirely different matter. I'm sure Sami will end up with EJ again so I won't get my hopes up too much. I will enjoy it for as long as it will last.
Bad
Ava didn't want John to check out the disk. I don't think Ava has changed at all. I think she is still a nutcase. For some reason, she kept trying to keep John from checking out the disk. She kept begging him not to watch it. She even went to the trouble of trying to steal it to keep him from looking at it. Thanks to her, John ended up destroying what was left of his past. It's obvious that she wants him to stay like this because he will go back to Marlena. She doesn't care that he doesn't have a connection to his children or his grandchild. That's the thanks Marlena gets for trying to help her. I know I will be glad when Ava is gone.
Morgan's story. I don't know if it's just me, but I can't get into Morgan's storyline, I am sick of hearing Morgan whine about her father being missing. I know he's her father and she should be worried, but I couldn't care less about seeing her worry on screen. I guess it's because I am not really a fan of Morgan's character.
Doug and Julie were underused. It's a shame that the writers have reduced Doug and Julie's scenes to holiday episodes. All they ever do is show up for holidays. It would be good to see more Hortons on the show. The Hortons are one of the core families, but you would never know it. Doug and Julie were just around to talk to Bo and Hope about Daniel and Chelsea. That brings me to the ugly section of this column.
Ugly
Daniel and Chelsea were compared to Bo and Hope. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Doug and Julie actually told Bo and Hope that their relationship was similar to Daniel and Chelsea's. That was unbelievable to me. I also thought it was an insult to Bo and Hope's history. Daniel is nothing like Bo and Chelsea is nothing like Hope. Bo and Hope had a true love story and that's why they are one of the best couples in daytime in my opinion. Daniel and Chelsea are just sickening. There is nothing romantic about this couple. They aren't in the same ball park as Bo and Hope.
Lucas kissed Chloe. During the blackout in Salem, Lucas and Chloe were stuck in an elevator. After he heard EJ tell Nicole that Sami had feelings for him, Lucas wanted to see Chloe. They ended up getting stuck in an elevator. Chloe was panicking because she was suffering from claustrophobia. He wanted to take her mind off of it by predictably kissing her. I didn't like it. I don't like where the writers are headed with them. I don't think that Lucas and Chloe should be a couple. I think Lucas should be with Sami and Chloe should be with Philip.
