Reilly Finn of the television series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a role model. Despite the fact that he cheated on Buffy Summers, the Slayer, with a Vampire, by letting female vampires suck his blood, he learned his lesson and moved on with his life. He was the normal boy Buffy dated between Angel and Spike.
Reilly met Buffy while he was working as a TA at UC Sunnydale for Professor Walsh. Buffy, Willow Rosenberg and Daniel Oz Osbourne were taking a Psychology class. He meets Rupert Giles at Buffy's birthday party where Giles learns all about the Initiative. When Anya Jenkins found out about them, she became a little nervous.
When Reilly was not teaching he was out hunting down demons with the Initiative. He did not know that Prof. Walsh was pumping him up with drugs. This gave him the extra strength he needed to battle the demons. He loved battling the good against evil and he does not like to sit on the sidelines. Reilly was not that happy to find out that, Adam was his “brother” and that he and Adam were being created by Walsh to be perfect life forms.
Reilly is very military minded. He often ran patrols to go hunt down the demons that were brought back to the base. The biggest thing for Reilly was following orders.
When Oz returned to Sunnydale looking for Willow, he ran into Tara Maclay. He smelled the scent of Willow on Tara, turned into a Werewolf because he was unable to control his emotion, and was captured by the Initiative. Xander Harris and the others worked to get Oz out of captivity. It was then that Reilly learned the difference between demons and did not follow orders.
Although Reilly was introduced to Buffy's inner circle of friends, he never felt like he quite fit in. this was more than likely because of the military training aspects of his life.
After he leaves Sunnydale he ends up with the Army working to fight demons, and he ends up getting married. He was surprised to run into Buffy at a Burger Joint, but he was still happy to see her after all the time that had passed.
