Daniel "Oz" Osbourne of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a role model. He plays lead guitar for the band Dingoes Ate My Baby at the Bronze in Sunnydale. He is detached, and philosophical, often very quiet, but more than expected of him. Oz is considered very cool. Cordelia Chase even likes him. Friends often asked to hook up sound systems for events. Oz becomes more involved with the group when he started dating Willow Rosenberg. He plays the electric guitar.
It did not faze Oz a bit to learn that Angel was a vampire; it did not bother him a bit. He accepted Anya Jenkins when he met her too.
Oz went through changes when he learned he was a werewolf and turned when there was a full moon. Buffy Summers, Rupert Giles, and Xander Harris all assisted with caging him up. He did not want to hurt innocent people. Because Oz turns into a werewolf, he has heightened smell, and can smell other animals within the area. This gets him into trouble when he meets Veruca, another guitarist.
He then attended UC Sunnydale with the gang, and met Reilly Finn who was a TA and who eventually became Buffy's boyfriend.
Veruca also turns into a werewolf at full moon, and she went with things when she turned. She did not believe she should be caged, and when she found out Oz caged himself, she let him know how she felt it was unnatural.
After Veruca Oz left Sunnydale and travelled to Tibet in hopes of learning how to control the werewolf inside of him. He eventually returned to tell Willow of his good news, that he could suppress the werewolf. It did not go over to well when he learned she was dating Tara Maclay. When he met Tara, he smelled Willow all over her he turned. After Oz turns human once again, he disappears never to be seen again.
