Clark Kent of the series Smallville is a role model (who would have guessed?) He is an alien from the planet Krypton with special powers. These special powers kept him off sports teams because his parents were afraid he might hurt someone, or worse yet be found out that he is not of this world. He listens to people and tries to help them. He works on the school paper with Chloe Sullivan, who is a friend, and later a confidante of his secret.
He came to Jonathan and Martha Kent when a meteor shower hit Smallville. The meteor shower changed many people's lives, including the girl who he is interested in, Lana Lang. The meteor killed her parents.
After he rescues Lex Luther from a car accident in which Lex was traveling 60mph. Lex actually his Clark with his car. They become friends despite the fact that his father, Jonathan Kent, does not trust him because of acts done by Lex's father, Lionel.
At home, he spends many hours in his fortress of solitude in the barn, looking at the stars, and across the street at Lana Lang's home.
In many ways, even though he is aggressive to help people, he is not as aggressive when it comes to girls except when he is under the power of red kryptonite. He wants Lana to be his girlfriend in high school, but only wants to steal her from Whitney by honorable means.
He researches his home planet and learns his name given to him by his parents on the planet Kryptonite is Kal-El. Clark spends many hours learning about his heritage, but he thinks of the Kent's as his real family.
The reason why he probably became a reporter is because he was always in search of the truth. He just also used those opportunities as a reporter to become Superman to help someone who needed it.
