It was a night of "Show Stoppers" for the 7th gala night of Pinoy Dream Academy (season 2). The scholars were paired to have a show stopper singing contest with one another. The scholar who gets the higher grade will be saved and the other one will be endangered of probation. The judges were Mr. Louie Ocampo, Mr. Jimmy Bondoc and Ms. Ivy Violan.
Bunny vs. Cris
Bunny: I Can't Get No Satisfaction
Jimmy Bondoc: "You look beautiful...you should guard your notes."
My opinion: I don't like Bunny's (gala) make up always. She is really beautiful without or probably with lighter make up. She must be paired with songs that suits her voice.
Cris: It's Raining Men
Jimmy Bondoc: "Perfect performance for a show stopper...controlled notes."
My opinion: Her song was good. It was her forte (singing sexy themed songs). At first I questioned the need for the shirtless men in the background but I realized the title of her song.
WINNER: Cris
Sen vs. Van
Sen: Bailamos
Ivy Violan: "Very good choice of song...you should feel your song more...i'll give you a good grade."
My Opinion: Very shaky and uneasy. He seemed uncomfortable. The song was actually good and catchy but he didn't played well with the song.
Van: Through the Fire
Ivy Violan: "You look good...some notes were not hit...maybe, you'll do better next time."
My opinion: Through the fire - male version is really a good idea. And he was better than Sen for that night.

Miguel Van Iñaki
Miguel: When Doves Cry
Louie Ocampo: "I enjoyed the performance...you're improving."
My opinion: The piano intro is impressive. But I didn't like the song. Miguel always don't get good songs. Just observe Liezel's songs, they're all good.
Iñaki: I Would Do Anything For Love
Louie Ocampo: "I enjoyed it as well...there are some notes that were not hit...a little better than Miguel's."
My opinion: He started the song strumming a guitar. Good song, but surely, I didn't like the eye make-up. He looked gay for me.
WINNER: Iñaki
Bugoy vs. Apple
Bugoy: Nakapagtataka
Jimmy Bondoc: " Very churchy...beautiful texture of voice...just be careful with the adlib."
My opinion: Really good voice, with the choir but he could have own it better as Bondoc says, "Maglasing ka pa sa kanta."
Apple: We Are Family
Jimmy Bondoc: "Fantastic...all high notes were hit...slightly better than Bugoy's."
My opinion: It was fun. She carried it with all the heels and head dress. Her vocal prowess came out in that performance.
WINNER: Bugoy
Laarni vs. Liezel
Laarni: 'Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin
Louie Ocampo: "Voicewise - okay (except the last note)...good voice...i'm surprised."
My opinion: Almost! She almost made it. But that last note is just too high. She messed up there, but overall, still a show stopper performance.
Liezel: Listen
Louie Ocampo: "You are very beautiful tonight...the performance of the night."
My opinion: She is really calm in singing and i agree that she looked very beautiful and elegant. I'm impressed with her voice once again, very good quality.
WINNER: Liezel (Star Scholar: 9.67)
