One Tree Hill 5.9

Haley, Brooke, Peyton, Lindsay, and Mia get locked in the library of the high school.

When is Haley going to be around Jamie?

Maybe it's just me, but it seems as if everyone is around Jamie more than Haley is. He even spent time with Quentin, which I didn't expect to happen. When this season started, she was always with him, but now it's not so much. Maybe now that Carrie quit, she'll be around him more than she is.

Is Carrie going to get away with kissing Nathan?

Last week, Carrie kissed Nathan. For some reason, she decided to quit her job. She said that she is going to a program for school. She thought that she wouldn't be able to afford it, but she's going to go for it. Wasn't that just convenient how she suddenly had another offer just when Nathan was about to tell her the truth? I have a feeling that she may end up being a factor in Nathan's relationship with Haley. For Nathan's sake, he shouldn't wait too long to tell her the truth.

Why was Mia ready to make a video?

Mia just started singing for Peyton's label, yet she's ready to do a video? A couple of weeks ago, she wasn't even able to sing in a local club, but she's ready to make a video. I'm just having trouble believing that. Her success is happening too fast for my taste.

Why wasn't there a note on the door?

When Peyton, Mia, Lindsay, Brooke, and Haley were in the library, they got locked in the room. When they tried to leave, the door wouldn't open. The handles were conveniently getting worked on. Since the door couldn't open from the inside, it would have made sense to put a note or a sign up warning people not to close the door while they are in the library.

Were the writers trying to get us to feel sorry for Lindsay?

While Peyton and Lindsay were locked up in the library, they were constantly fighting. They were both able to hold their own against the other. Lindsay hit Peyton below the belt by mentioning how she was shot in the library and how she lost her mother. Lindsay didn't like it when Peyton mentioned Lindsay's father. Lindsay revealed that her father died of cancer. All of a sudden, Peyton was the fire-breathing dragon for mentioning Lindsay's father. Lindsay didn't care that she could have offended Peyton when she mentioned her mother, but Peyton was wrong when she did the same thing. I am in no way condoning what Peyton did, but Lindsay wasn't any better. Peyton and Lindsay made peace with each other. Somehow, I don't see them being friends.

What was the point of the Ravens game?

There was no need for there to be a Ravens game since we didn't get to see it. It was an obvious plot device to get Peyton, Mia, and company to be in the school. You would never know who won the game if you didn't look at the scoreboard. There was so much emphasis put on this game since it was Lucas's first game as a coach, yet we didn't see it.
