Lucas was inspired to write
Lucas finally found his inspiration to write again. As you know from last week, he had writer's block. This week he was suddenly able to write. Lindsay was suspicious of him being able to write. I think Peyton was his inspiration to write again. I think Lindsay thought she was too.
Brooke wanted to open a local store
Brooke wanted to open a local store for Clothes Over Bros, but Victoria was against it. She didn't want to open a store in Tree Hill. Brooke didn't care what she wanted and opened the store anyway. Considering Victoria's ties to Tree Hill, you would think that she wouldn't be against a store being there. I'll get back to that later. Brooke also bought a house in Tree Hill. She wanted to be closer to her friends even though she had everything in New York. She had a room for Peyton in the house too. These two have come a long way from last season when they argued over Lucas.
Nathan visited Dan
Nathan tried to walk, but Haley wasn't there to see it. Instead, Terri was there. He decided to go visit Dan in prison. Nathan told Dan about his accident. Dan wanted to know about his grandson. He wondered if Jamie even knows who he is. Nathan told him that he let him know who he is. Nathan all but blamed Dan for his life turning out the way it did. Dan wasn't taking that lying down. Dan let Nathan know that he wasn't the reason why he got in the wheelchair. Nathan told him that he didn't want to end up like him and told him he wasn't going to visit him anymore. He did end up leaving a picture of Jamie for Dan. I wonder if this will be the last that we see of Dan. I really didn't think he would stay on the show since Debbie and Karen are gone.
Mouth's boss
Mouth spoke to Skills about his boss and the way she treats him. Skills implied that Mouth's boss had a thing for him. Mouth went to confront his boss to find out why she keeps giving him a hard time. She told him how he was blowing a great opportunity that the studio was giving him. While she was ranting about the kind of worker he is, he planted a wet one on her. She seemed to like it because she kissed him back, but that wasn't the case. She ended up firing him. When he went to talk to her again, the reaction was different. He called her out about the way she treats people and how uptight she is. That must have been some speech because she kissed him. I guess Skills was right about her liking Mouth.
Peyton was suspicious of Lindsay
When Peyton opened up her record company, Lindsay gave her a lucky bamboo plant and told her that she would be there whenever Peyton needed her. Peyton was suspicious of this. She thought that Lindsay was marking her territory. She thought that Lindsay was letting her know that she is going to be a part of Lucas's life. She talked to Haley and Brooke about her suspicions, but they didn't believe Lindsay was doing that. Peyton talked to Lindsay about her suspicions. She told Lindsay that she wasn't after Lucas so she didn't have to worry. Lindsay told her that someone gave her the bamboo plant for good luck because someone gave it to her. Peyton didn't buy that excuse so she spoke to Brooke about it. Brooke crunched her face when she showed her the plant that Lindsay gave her.
Peyton signed her first group
Peyton heard a group at Tric that she knew wasn't signed to a label. She wanted to sign them on her label so she had a meeting with the lead singer so she could sign them. He wasn't having it and turned her down. He showed up at her office later and decided to give her a chance.
Nathan wanted to change
After talking to Terri (the nanny) about his life, he decided to change. He wants to be a better husband and father. I hope this change lasts and he doesn't turn to Terri. He seems to be around her a lot so you never know. This smells like an updated version of “The Hand That Rocks The Cradle”.
Brooke and Victoria's connection
As I told you before, Victoria is tied to Tree Hill. It turns out that Victoria is Brooke's mother. When Victoria showed up in Tree Hill to give Brooke a ticket back to New York, Brooke called her “Mom”. I had a feeling that she was her mother by the way she was talking to her. Victoria seemed like she was serious when she wanted her to go back to New York. I wonder if she'll do as her mother said and go back to New York.
