Brooke had to Give Angie Back
Brooke planned on spending the day with Angie when she received a phone call. She found out that Angie had to go back with children's services. I don't have to tell you that Brooke was devastated. She thought she had more time to spend with her. Brooke was supposed to have eight days left, but she didn't. I felt really sorry for Brooke because she became really attached to Angie. I know giving her up had to be hard even though she knew it was going to happen eventually. It was good to see Lucas try to comfort her over losing Angie though. It's too bad that Brooke's other friends didn't comfort her too. They knew it would be hard for Brooke to say goodbye to Angie, but they weren't there for her.
Lucas Started Drinking
Lucas was still hurting over Lindsay so he decided to start hitting the bottle. He was drinking a lot at the end of the episode before the finale and he was drinking at the beginning of this episode too. Is it a Scott family tradition to drink heavily when something bad happens? Nathan was drinking a lot too when he thought he wouldn't walk again. I remember when Lucas was the one who told Nathan how it was wrong to drink, but he ended up doing it too. Was it only wrong for Nathan and not Lucas? Anyway, it was great to see Nathan reach out to Lucas and tell him how wrong it was to drink his problems away. It seemed to dot he trick because Lucas stopped drinking.
Whose Side was Haley On?
It seemed like Haley didn't know which side of the fence to stand on concerning Lucas' love life. During the season, she kept telling Lucas that he should be with Lindsay. Towards the end of the season, she told him that he should be with Peyton. I don't understand Haley's thinking at all. I remember when she got mad at Lucas and Peyton because they kissed each other. She thought he should have been with Lindsay. Now fast forward some weeks and her opinion changed. I wonder what advice she will give Lucas next season.
Nathan and Jamie Faced their Fears
I thought it was great how Nathan decided to give basketball another try. I also thought it was good that Nathan wanted to help Jamie get over his fear of getting back in the water after he almost drowned. Nathan seemed to struggle a bit when Quentin wanted to help him practice. It looked like Nathan was going to give up, but he didn't. He also wouldn't let Jamie give up on swimming again. He gave Jamie a pep talk and that worked. Jamie was able to start swimming again. Maybe they helped each other because Nathan was able to start making his baskets again. Maybe Nathan will be able to play again soon.
Lindsay visited Lucas
Lindsay showed up at Lucas' house to let him know that his book was finished. Lucas asked her if she missed him. For some reason, she wouldn't answer him. She walked out of the house. Lindsay is punishing Lucas for no reason. He chose her, but she still kept giving him a hard time. She was talking on the phone and admitted that she didn't have a boyfriend. I don't get why she let Lucas think she was seeing someone else when she wasn't. She had no reason not to be with Lucas.
Dan Moved up on the Donor List
Dan kept visiting the reverend at the hospital. He was ahead of him on the donor list to receive a heart. Dan wanted the reverend to die so he could move up on the list. It was starting to look like Dan was going to kill him. Lucky for Dan he didn't have to do it. The reverend ended up dying. Dan was just too happy about it. He did end up getting what he deserved. He helped a couple and he started backing up into the street without looking. A car hit him. I had a feeling that was going to happen when he wasn't looking where he was going. Naturally, his pager started beeping after he was hit. I wonder if he's going to die after all. If that does happen, the writers could have gotten rid of him when tried to kill himself last season.
Lucas' Phone Call
Lucas wanted to go to Vegas and get married. He called someone and asked her to go with him. Did he call Brooke, Peyton, or Lindsay? We will all have to wait until next season to find out the answer.
