Lucas saw Keith
When Lucas’s spirit left his body, he ran into Keith. He showed him what was going on while he was in the hospital. Lucas wanted to know why bad things happened to good people. He pretty much thought there was no point in being good. Keith showed him what life would have been like if he were a lesser person.
Nathan’s guilt
He blamed himself for what happened to Haley and Lucas. He also said that Dan was in jail. He wished that he died in the water. He figured that none of this mess would have happened if he did. If you ask me, it wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t get the money from Dante. Dante wouldn’t have wanted him to throw games. Dante wouldn’t have tried to kill him if he didn’t turn his back on him.
Here’s some of the things Keith showed Lucas:
Keith showed Lucas how Brooke would have treated him if he were a lesser person. Brooke was nasty to him and wanted him to leave her alone.
Nathan wanted to know why Keith saved him. He said there would have been no Dante if he weren’t saved.
Haley would have been a recording star because Lucas wouldn’t have talked her into going back home.
Keith showed Lucas where he was murdered
He wanted to talk about what happened the day he was murdered. Lucas didn’t want to see it, but Keith wanted to talk about it anyway. Lucas blamed himself for Keith’s death. Lucas was still under the impression that Jimmy (the guy who held up the school) killed Keith.
Brooke and Peyton bonded
Brooke went to comfort Peyton at the place that Peyton always goes to. Brooke found her there when Peyton’s mother died. They started talking about the people Peyton lost. Peyton came out and told her that she wanted to be friends. Brooke agreed, but didn’t think they could be friends the way they used to be. I think Brooke should have been willing to try and be friends with her the way they used to be. I guess it’s going to take more time. Hopefully they will mend fences.
Keith showed Lucas what would have happened to Peyton
When Lucas wanted to know why Brooke was so cold to him, he showed Lucas what happened to Peyton. Since Lucas wasn’t a good person, he didn’t go back in the school to save her from being shot. She ended up dying. Brooke blamed herself for not being there for Peyton.
Keith told Lucas that he made a difference in Peyton’s life. He sent her artwork to Thud and that made a difference in her life. If he wasn’t a better person, that wouldn’t have happened.
Keith went to see Dan
Keith confronted Dan in jail. Dan was glad to finally see him and not the younger version of him. He reminisced about the bad times that happened between them. Inevitably, Keith mentioned the murder. He told Dan that he forgave him. That made Dan crazy. Keith must have known that would have happened. Ordinarily, that would have made a person happy to be forgiven. I guess that’s not the case when you’re evil like Dan.
Brooke and Peyton asked for the same thing
When Brooke was with Lucas and Peyton was with Haley, they wanted the same thing. Brooke wanted Lucas to come back and help Peyton and Peyton wanted Haley to come back and help Brooke. They both thought that the other needed help.
Haley woke up
After Nathan was praying for Haley, she ended up waking up. That must have been fate or something. Maybe she heard his prayer and came back to him.
Lucas wanted to go back to his life
During the journey of what life would have been like if he wasn’t a good person, he decided to go back to his life. He wanted to tell Peyton that he loved her. Keith gave him what he wanted. Then he had to go.
The baby survived
Miraculously, Haley and Nathan’s baby survived. I thought that the baby was going to die. As bad as she was hit, the baby was lucky to survive.
I thought it was a good episode, but it was a waste. We didn’t really learn anything other than the fact that Lucas is a good guy. We didn’t need to see a spoof of “It’s a Wonderful Life” in order to find that out. What was the point of bringing Keith back if he wasn’t going to tell Lucas that Dan shot him? Keith barely haunted Dan. It would have made more sense if Keith came back to haunt Dan. Since the younger version of Keith was haunting him, it would have made more sense for the older version to do it. Oh well. At least the episode pretty much ended on a happy note.
That’s all for this week. I’ll see you again when the next new episode airs.
Keith and Lucas has me tear..... Sniff...
