Adam's secret was revealed
Sylvia was back and she revealed part of Adam's secret. It turns out that Adam had an affair with Sylvia. I wasn't really surprised by that, but it was good to have that suspicion confirmed. According to Katherine, Sylvia became obsessed with Adam and file a suit against him. Adam settled and it practically ruined his life. Apparently, that was not the same story that Sylvia had.
Speaking of Sylvia, didn't she have the worst timing to reveal her little bombshell? She chose to do it during a tornado watch. Everybody should have been more worried about the tornado and not her confessions. It was really nasty to see Katherine spit on her, but Sylvia had it coming. She was rubbing it in to Katherine that she was his mistress. Anyway, she ended up telling Bree the whole story adding a key element. She told Bree that Adam had a tattoo on his arm. Sylvia claimed that no one would believe her, but her proof ended up being more important than Bree realized. It turned out that Adam did have a tattoo, but he had it removed. He let Katherine think that Sylvia was obsessed, but she really wasn't. We'll never find out the rest of the secret now because Adam's prayers were answered. I'll get to that later in the column.
Susan fell down the stairs
Susan and Mike had their foreseeable fight while they were near the stairs. They were fighting over Mike's drug use. As soon as they headed towards the steps, I knew what was going to happen. Whenever a pregnant woman has a fight with someone near or on a flight of stairs, expect her to fall. That is exactly what happened to Susan. She snatched away from Mike and fell down the stairs. I think it could have been avoided. Susan shouldn't have snatched away from Mike while she was on the stairs.
Mike hit a doctor
While Susan and Mike were at the hospital, he started to get impatient. Susan wanted to make sure her baby was okay. The nurse told him that they had to wait because there were other patients. The man lost it and ended up hitting a doctor. That didn't accomplish much because Susan didn't see the doctor any sooner and he ended up getting handcuffed to a chair. He claimed he bottomed out and he was going to get clean. He said he would go to rehab once Susan threatened to leave him if he didn't do it. I'm not so sure he will end up going to rehab after all. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Lynette was being ungrateful
Lynette begged Mrs. McClusky to let her family stay in her basement until the storm was over. Mrs. McClusky had already invited Ida to stay with her. Mrs. McClusky finally caved and let her family stay. The Scavos weren't there for five minutes before there was trouble. Tom was suddenly allergic to cats so Lynette wanted Ida to put her cat in Mrs. McClusky's closet. Ida didn't want her cat to be in the closet. I know that Tom was suffering, but I thought Lynette was being rude. She didn't want to put her daughter in the closet so why did she expect Ida to do that with her cat? I think that Ida should have been the one to suggest that the cat be put in the closet. Lynette just decided to move the cat while Ida was sleeping, but Mrs. McClusky caught her. While Mrs. McClusky read Lynette the riot act, the cat got out of the house. They had to go out during the storm to look for the cat. That wouldn't have happened if Lynette asked Ida about moving the cat again instead of taking the cat from her. I don't think the cat's life was more important than Tom's, but Lynette should have been more considerate of Ida's feelings.
A tornado hit Wisteria Lane
There was a nasty tornado in Fairview. The citizens had fair warning about it because Mrs. McClusky warned everyone about it. For some reason, everyone's priorities were mixed up. Susan and Mike fought over drugs. Katherine and Sylvia fought over Adam. Sylvia locked herself in Bree's bathroom. Edie and Gaby were literally fighting over Carlos's money. It was so plot driven how Carlos's accountant gave Edie the documents to his account. The man thought Edie was Gaby and gave her the info. Gaby saw her with it and they started fighting over it. It didn't even matter because the papers flew out of Gaby's hands. Victor also chose to try and kill Carlos during the story. That didn't make any sense to me at all. Instead of doing all of the crazy things they were doing, they should have packed their things and left town.
I had a problem with the way everyone but Lynette forgot about their kids. Bree knows that her son has an apartment in Fairview, but she didn't think to check on him at all. Susan didn't mention Julie while she was at the hospital. In fact, she wasn't even shown again until after the storm was over. Katherine was another one who forgot about her child. She left her house with Adam and stayed with Bree and Orson. I'm sure that the writers will find a way to explain where their kids were, but they could have mentioned them.
There were some casualties and an injury during the tornado. Victor and Carlos were fighting and when Victor was about to use a pipe on Carlos, he was impaled by a piece of the fence. Carlos was hit in the head by a flying object. I wasn't sure if he was killed or not, but it's a safe bet that he wasn't. Sylvia was blown away when she was about to leave Bree's house. The next day Lynette and Mrs. McClusky left Lynette's house to see the damage that was done. Lynette let out a bloodcurdling scream and then the camera panned out. Mrs. McClusky's house was completely destroyed. I hope that Lynette's kids as well as Tom and Ida are okay. I also hope it doesn't take too long to find out what happened.
