Lynette was Arrested for Child Abuse
Kayla wasn't finished with her revenge on Lynette. She let Child Protective Services think that Lynette burned her. That did the trick because Lynette was arrested. She wanted Tom to do something because she couldn't see her kids because of the charge. Tom seemed really torn about it. It was hard for Tom to deal with the fact that his daughter was setting his wife up.
Tom did eventually help Lynette by tricking Kayla. He told her that she had to leave the house because of what happened to Lynette. Kayla ended up confessing to what she did. Luckily Tom had his phone on when Kayla was in the middle of confessing. Lynette ended up being released. Tom ended up sending Kayla to her grandparents' place. Lynette seemed too relieved by that. She didn't even tell Tom how sorry she was that his daughter had to leave. Lynette just carried on as if nothing happened. She may as well had clicked her heels with relief. I know that Kayla was practically the devil's spawn, but she was still Tom's daughter. I wasn't surprised that he was a little cold towards her after Kayla left. It was easy for Lynette to move on from what happened because her child wasn't the one who had to leave the house.
Susan and Mike Struggled to Name the Baby
Susan and Mike weren't sure what to name their son. At one point, Susan even looked in a newspaper for a name. They finally decided on Connor when Mike found out that his grandfather died. Mike wanted to name the baby after him. Susan didn't like the name Maynard. Susan's friends visited her and the baby. Susan told them the name and they were less than thrilled about it. Susan decided to try and change Maynard's name back to Connor. Needless to say, she tried to do this behind Mike's back and she was caught. Mike had to tell her an inspirational story about Maynard Sr. before she was willing to let the baby keep the name.
Bree's Minister Came on to Her
Reverend Green arrived in Wisteria Lane and he spent some time with Bree. They were at Tom and Lynette's pizza place and they were talking. Orson showed up there and Bree made the mistake of asking him to hold her hand so that Orson would leave her alone. Orson was following Bree around trying to get her back. Well, the minister got the wrong idea and he made a move on her. She let him know that she wasn't attracted to him and she got out of the car. The minister wanted to pay her back by talking about her during the service at church. Orson came to her rescue. He tried to fight the minister to keep him from talking about her. It's too bad that his efforts were in vain because he ended up getting beat down. He had to go to the hospital. Bree visited Orson at the hospital after he was beat up for her.
In the second half of the season finale, Bree was giving Orson a hard time again. She still wouldn't forgive him for hitting Mike unless he went to the police. I didn't understand that. Mike was able to get over it, but she couldn't do it. This was after he bailed her out when she needed help for Bob and Lee's commitment ceremony. Let me back up a little. Bob and Lee wanted a commitment ceremony and they wanted Katherine and Bree to cater it. Bree did the catering because Katherine was dealing with her drama. Anyway, Bree had the ice sculpture that they wanted in her car and she ended up getting a flat tire. No one would stop to her until Orson showed up. He was more than willing to help her, but she still gave him a hard time. It's too bad he didn't leave her stranded.
Gaby/Carlos/Ellie
Gaby and Carlos were going to help the police capture Ellie. Gaby let the police come in and tap her house to get Ellie. Ellie caught them in her room and Gaby let her think she was having an affair with the cop. Ellie ended up telling Carlos about the “affair” and he confronted Gaby. Gaby told him what she was doing. Later on in the episode, the police had a chance to catch Ellie. For some reason, Gaby tipped her off and Ellie managed to escape. It's too bad the police didn't take Gaby to jail for that.
In the second hour of the episode, Ellie called Gaby and wanted her teddy bear. The bear conveniently had money in it. Gaby and Carlos wanted to keep the money. Needless to say, Ellie was upset and she wanted her money. She showed up at Carlos and Gaby's house looking for her money. The police were outside of the Solis house waiting for Ellie, but she managed to get away again. She blended in with the crowd at the commitment ceremony and then ended up at Katherine's house. Ellie met her maker there because Wayne killed her. It's too bad she didn't learn to knock before entering. She might not have been killed. That leads me to the next thing I want to mention.
