Desperate Housewives 4.14

Lynette finds out who started the fire at Rick’s restaurant. Bree gives Orson an ultimatum. Susan reconnects with her ex-husband.

Bree wanted Orson to go to jail

Bree wanted Orson to go to jail in order to get her forgiveness. She even graciously told him she would wait the few years that he would be in jail. Considering the things she's done, she wasn't in a position to judge Orson for hitting Mike. This is the same woman who covered up Andrew's crime when killed Carlos's mother. She is also passing off her daughter's son as her son. I am not trying to make excuses for Orson, but Bree didn't really have a right to judge Orson for what he did. If that wasn't enough, she wanted him to come back home. Of course this was after she wanted Edie to get him off of her hands. Bree got jealous over Edie and Orson possibly being together. Since she kicked him out, she would have brought it on herself if he had a fling with Edie. They already kissed even though Orson stopped it. Who knows how far it will get next time.

Lynette found out who started the fire

Tom suggested to Lynette that they get the twins into therapy for starting the fire. He didn't think that the chores were enough. Lynette was against the idea of them going to therapy. She thought they could handle the chores. While the twins were in the middle of doing their chores, they confessed that Kayla was the one who came up with the idea to set the restaurant on fire. When Lynette confronted Kayla, she wasn't fazed by what she had done. Suddenly sending Kayla to a therapist was a good idea. She didn't want to send the twins to a therapist, but she wanted to send Kayla to one. Tom pretty much told her the same thing. For some reason, Lynette thought Kayla's situation was different from the twins'. I don't see how it was any different. Her kids were the ones who started the fire, not Kayla. If anything all three of the kids should have gone to therapy. Tom refused to send Kayla to therapy. That wasn't good enough for Lynette. She had to take Kayla to therapy anyway. It didn't work out the way she thought. Kayla put her in her place by threatening to go to the police.

Lynette wanted Kayla to go to therapy so she could learn the difference between right and wrong. Kayla thought that keeping the secret that Porter and Preston set the fire would have been wrong. There was nothing Lynette could do about that. She changed her mind about Kayla going to therapy. Tom and Lynette got into a fight over Lynette taking her to therapy. I think they are both showing favoritism toward their children. Tom should have done something to Kayla for giving the twins the idea to set the fire. He pretty much let her get away with it. Why didn't he allow her to do chores with the twins? Lynette should have been willing to let Kayla just do chores the way she thought chores were good enough for her kids.

Speaking of Kayla, why is she a demon child again? She was accepting of Lynette before, but now she's turning crazy again. She schemed against the twins and caused one to get hurt. She lied to the twins and made them think that she jumped off of the roof and landed on her feet. The twins tried to do that, but one of them ended up getting hurt I can only imagine what she will do next.

Susan saw Carl at Lamaze

While Susan was at Lamaze, she saw Carl and his new wife. He rubbed it in her face that he has a great life with his wife. She wanted to show him up the next time she saw him so she wanted Mike to lie about their life. Mike didn't want to go along with it until Carl made a crack about him being a plumber. Mike ended up telling Carl that he was in rehab. Susan was upset with Mike for telling Carl about being in rehab. Mike wasn't embarrassed and didn't think Susan should have been. Carl had to tell Susan that Mike is being honest with her as opposed to the life she had with him. For a second, I was starting to think that Susan was jealous that she wasn't with Carl.

Gaby and Carlos rented a room in their house

Since Gaby and Carlos needed extra money, they rented a room to a border. Gaby got the wrong idea about Ellie after she moved in. Gaby thought Ellie was a hooker because she had different guys coming in and out of the house. Then she saw her receive money. She tried to set Ellie up to see if she was a hooker, but she was wrong. Ellie lied and said she was running a tattoo parlor in the house. She came up with a sob story about her boss taking money from her. She also said she wanted to open up a tattoo parlor and pay for school. Gaby bought the story and was willing to turn the other cheek while she runs her business. It turns out her business is selling drugs. It will only be a matter of time before Gaby and Carlos get caught for that.

Katherine saw Wayne

Dylan kept sneaking around with Wayne. Katherine thought Dylan was dating a boy she didn't want her to meet. Katherine decided to follow Dylan and saw her with Wayne. Wayne thought that Dylan should tell Katherine that she was seeing him. Dylan took his advice and told Katherine about seeing him. Katherine and Wayne had a showdown. She told him how she's not the woman he used to beat up. I thought she was going to kill him since she had the gun in the drawer. If he didn't leave, she probably would have shot him.
