Lynette tried to deny her feelings for another man. Mike learned the truth about his nearly fatal accident.
Lynette was Suspicious of Tom
Lynette questioned Tom about where he was during Bree's speech at the ball. He said he was listening to a ball game in the car. He denied starting the fire at Rick's, but she wasn't convinced.
Dylan Got Pulled Over
While Dylan was driving, she was pulled over by a cop. The cop turned out to be her father. He was also the man who circled her picture in the paper last week. They went to talk and he told her about his relationship with Katherine. He didn't want Katherine to know that they met so Dylan agreed to meet him in private. He is up to something. He is probably going to use Dylan to get back at Katherine for leaving him.
Carlos Got a Seeing Eye Dog
Gaby and Carlos had problems over his seeing eye dog. The dog was supposed to for Carlos, but Gaby was upset. She wanted the dog to do things for Carlos so she wouldn't have to do it for him. Needless to say, Gaby and the dog didn't get along. When Carlos chose the dog to stay in the bed over her, she wanted the dog out of the house. She took the dog back to the guy she got him from and told Carlos that the dog was missing. What Gaby didn't know was the dog followed her home and the guy that she gave the dog to called Carlos. Edie had to advise Gaby about the way she's been treating Carlos. Edie warned her that another woman would take her place if she didn't treat him right. That did the trick and Gaby accepted the dog. Edie shouldn't have had to tell her about the way she treats Carlos. She should have known all along that she was treating him badly, but that's Gaby for you. Always thinking about herself.
Mike Came Home
Mike came home from rehab. Julie told him about Orson's confession. Mike confronted Orson about hitting him. Orson apologized for what he did. Mike told Susan about Orson hitting him and she went off on him. She wanted Orson to stay away from her family. She didn't want to forgive him for almost killing Mike. Mike tried to get her to ease up on Orson. He forgave Orson and he thought that Susan should too. I think Susan had a right to be upset with Orson. Orson knew all this time that he hit Mike and didn't say a word. Now out of the blue, he's suddenly sorry. On the other hand, if Mike was able to forgive him, she should have been able to too. She took that advice and wanted to try and forgive him. Unfortunately, Bree couldn't forgive him and kicked him out of the house.
Rick Confronted Tom
Rick told Tom about a matchbook he found in his restaurant. He thought it was proof that he started the fire. Tom denied starting the fire. They ended up getting into a fight which ultimately got them arrested. While Lynette was waiting for Tom at the police station, Rick told her how he missed her. She stormed off without saying how she felt. While Tom was being questioned about the fire, Lynette almost blew it for him by supplying two motives for him setting the fire. She told the police that Rick wanted to have an affair with her. She also thought Rick could have set the fire himself to set up Tom. He said he was at the gym. She lied and gave an alibi for Tom. She said Tom was listening to the ball game while she was outside waiting for him. The police decided to let him go because of lack of evidence.
When Tom and Lynette went home, things were worse for them. Tom was upset that Lynette lied about his alibi. Lynette made the mistake of implying that she wasn't sure if he was telling the truth about the fire. For some reason, he thought that she might have slept with Rick. They ended up having problems.
The Twins Confessed
The twins confessed to Lynette that they were the ones who set Rick's restaurant on fire. They were afraid that Rick was going to take her away from them so they set his restaurant on fire. They confessed to it because they didn't want Lynette to be mad at Tom anymore. I knew that Tom didn't set the fire. I was wrong about Rick setting the fire himself, but I knew Tom was innocent. I wonder if the writers will drop this story the way they usually do.
