Irma Gobh is Mr. Bean girlfriend. Mr. Bean treats her inconsiderately and doesn't show much interest towards her. However, he does feel jealous when Irma is with other man.
Mr. Bean actually does write diaries. Two diaries have been published related to Mr. Bean; “Mr. Bean's diary” and “Mr. Bean's pocket diary”. Both of these diaries are hand written by Mr. Bean.
The name of the choir song played at the starting of the show is actually in Latin, “Ecce horno qui est faba” which means behold a man who is a bean.
