Facts You Didn't Know About Mr. Bean

Everyone loves that witty yet childish character Mr. Bean. Acted by Rowan Atkinson, Mr. Bean is often described as a child trapped in a man’s body.

  1. Mr. Bean lives alone in a rented room in Highbury, northern London. However, in certain episode, he owns his own apartment. His nasty landlady name is Mrs. Wicket.

  2. Mr. Bean owns more than just one Teddy. In fact, he has a supply of teddies (although it is not mention in any episodes). In the episode “Mr. Bean in Room 426” and “Tee off, Mr. Bean”, Teddy has been shrunken and decapitate. No matter what happens to Teddy, it still appears fine in the next episode. Is it an immortal Teddy, nobody knows.

  3. Mr. Bean changes his underpants once a day. This is clearly shown when Mr. Bean did his laundry in the episode “Tee off, Mr. Bean”. He washed seven underpants including the one he was wearing on that day.

  4. Irma Gobh is Mr. Bean girlfriend. Mr. Bean treats her inconsiderately and doesn't show much interest towards her. However, he does feel jealous when Irma is with other man.

  5. Mr. Bean actually does write diaries. Two diaries have been published related to Mr. Bean; “Mr. Bean's diary” and “Mr. Bean's pocket diary”. Both of these diaries are hand written by Mr. Bean.

  6. The name of the choir song played at the starting of the show is actually in Latin, “Ecce horno qui est faba” which means behold a man who is a bean.
