The pilot episode of Friends will always be a classic for die hard Friends fans. The introduction of each of the characters and the definition of the qualities which were developed and which we grew to love over 10 series has to be in the top 10 episodes.
Each of the characters is so distinct and has so many great episodes to chose from, but I have selected my favourite episode for each of them.
The Pilot
This is one of my favourite episodes for Rachel - her line “I don't need my father, I don't need a job, I've got new boots, boots!” competes with “Well isn't that just spit on your neck, kick you in the crotch fantastic!” when Ross returns from China with his new girlfriend Julie.
The One After Ross Says Rachel
Classic Ross where everything that could go wrong does, following Ross saying the wrong name at the Altar at the end of season 4. This is up there with The One With Ross' Teeth and The One With All The Resolutions.
The One With Chandler In A Box
There are so many episodes to chose from where Chandler is hysterical but this episode is funny as well as caring and so knocks The One Where Chandelr Doesn't Like Dogs off the top spot.
The One Where Phoebe Runs
Phoebe is a bit nuts, it has to be admitted and this episode showing her running revels in her wackiness.
The One Where Joey Speaks French
Joey is a simple character and thank god he is pretty in this episode. Phoebe takes pity on him though and at least saves him his dignity even if he doesn't get the part.
The One Where Monica Sings
Monica has a surprisingly good voice in this episode but it isn't actually that which the crowd are cheering for, but her see through top. What a surprise Monica loves the attention anyway.
Celebrity episodes
Outstanding celebrity episodes are The One Where Paul's The Man and we see Bruce Willis singing Love Machine when trying to impress Rachel, The One With The Rumour with Brad Pitt has got to be a favourite (in particular where Phoebe hugs him and finally The One After The Superbowl, where Julia Roberts takes Chandler's clothes and leaves him stranded in a g-string!
Friends may have finished but at least we can relive every moment!
