11 Best Stand-Up Comedy Routines You Must Watch

Anyone who can have a one-sided conversation with a crowd, and still be hilarious, is at the top of the comedy food chain.

Stand-up comedy is one of my favorite things to watch. I believe it is the truest form of comedy. Anyone who can have a one sided conversation with a crowd and still be hilarious is at the top of the comedy food chain in my opinion. I have gathered a list of ten of my favorite stand up comics with some of their sets. If you have someone you think should be on the list, add a comment with the link, because I would love to check it out.

  1. Richard Pryor

I start off with one of the best. I was born in 1983, so I am a little young, but there was so much hype over this man and his comedy prowess. I watched his routine and I have to agree he is the greatest.

  2. Rodney Dangerfield

Rodney was a great comedian, who gave a lot of young comedians their first big break. When he saw young talent he would really push for them to succeed. I love his style of just joke after joke. I wish more comedians today would adapt this style.

  3. Dave Chappelle

Dave Chappelle started on stage at the age of fourteen years old and he is a natural. I laugh at virtually everything he says and I have no idea why. He is just that funny.

  4. Dane Cook

Now, I know recently Dane Cook has become a little annoying since we were over exposed to his humor, but I remember the first time I heard him and that is all I need to remember. Here is a clip from back in the day.

  5. Mitch Hedberg

Sadly, Mitch Hedberg is no longer with us. However, he definitely lives on in me because I quote the man more than any other comedian. Thank you Mitch. I am glad I got to see him on his last tour in the United States.

  6. Eddie Murphy

This was the first super star stand up show I ever saw. I saw delirious way too young. I don't know what my mom was thinking. However, it was bit like this one that even at a really young age I could still relate and see his genius. I wish he would stop doing kids movies and do some real comedy again.

  7. Demetri Martin

I love Demetri's style. It is always hard to invent something new in a professional that is centuries old, but Demetri has definitely done that, and done it well.

  8. John Caparulo

This dude doesn't get enough credit. He is tiny and angry, but it is funny as hell.

  9. Bill Cosby

I had the privilege of seeing Bill Cosby a few years ago and he was amazing. He sat on a stool and just told story after story. He is a true professional.

  10. Nick Swardson

This young man is a rising star and his humor hits really close to home for me. I am twenty five and this kid is basically like hanging out with my best friend.

  11. Jim Gaffigan

His voice is funny enough, but his act is a polished machine. I don't know why this guy isn't a bigger star.

This list is so so sad. I gotta hand it to you buddy, you've composed the best stand up list ever. As to Prior, Cosby and Eddie, you are right, there are the best. But, Dane Cook and the other bunch of losers? Come on!How about Robin Williams (the King), Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey, Jamie Fox, Kat Williams and other who rule the stand up world. Apparently, You need to watch more stand up routines before you make another best stand up ever list.
Please watch them, before making another stupid list like this one.
Watch them, don't comment!

not a fan of Robin Williams. Amusing but not funny haha. Same goes for Chappelle although some of his stuff is hilarious.

Of the videos in the list I liked Pryor the best.
